Magnolia Advocacy is a Florida-based, governmental affairs firm that helps clients identify challenges and opportunities, solve problems, remove barriers, drive competitive advantage, and achieve results.
Magnolia Advocacy is led by Crystal Stickle, with over 25 years of government affairs experience at the state and federal levels, Crystal is a seasoned advocate providing political, strategic and policy direction to her portfolio of clients in the healthcare industry.
During that time, she has been at the forefront of Florida’s most contentious and complex health care issues successfully resolving client issues related to Medicaid policy and program design, payor disputes, heath care finance as well as regulatory and licensure matters.
As a leader, she strikes the right balance between strategy and tactics. Crystal leverages her expertise, reputation and long-standing relationships with policy and decision makers to identify problems and execute solutions to overcome the barriers standing in the way of her client’s success. She is adept in navigating Florida’s state appropriations process, having secured millions of dollars in funding to build infrastructure, fund new and existing state programs and increase health care provider reimbursement rates.
Crystal most recently served as Interim Chief Executive Officer of the Florida Hospital Association (FHA) after serving as an Executive Vice President and VP of Government Affairs with the FHA since 2013. Prior to joining FHA, Crystal served as director of government affairs for WellCare Health Plans and government relations director for National Strategies, Inc. She began her career with the Republican Party of Florida.
Crystal holds her Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Master of Science in American Politics and Public Policy from Florida State University.
