Representative Daryl Campbell proudly serves as the Florida State Representative of House District 99, advocating for the vibrant communities of Fort Lauderdale, Lauderhill, Lauderdale Lakes, Wilton Manors, and Plantation. In his inaugural term in the Florida Legislature, Representative Campbell sat on pivotal committees such as Healthcare Appropriations, Justice Appropriations, Civil Justice, Ways and Means, and Energy, Communication, and Cybersecurity.
Representative Campbell approaches his role with a solution focused perspective of a social worker. Through these quintessential skills he is able to deliver constituent services, build relationships with governmental bodies and community leaders, and possess a profound comprehension of local concerns. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Sociology from Jacksonville University and a Certification of Addiction Studies from Miami Dade College. Representative Campbell graduated from Barry University with a Masters in Social Work. The passions instilled in him from his professors and classmates at Barry continues to motivate him as he pursues his PhD in social work at Howard University.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Addiction Therapist, Representative Campbell’s experience has deeply influenced his work within the Florida Legislature. His dedication to the field continues as he grapples with micro and macro challenges of addressing the mental health crisis. Through his practice, "Voice Unplugged," he empowers individuals to embrace their authentic selves, transcending barriers of race, gender, and socioeconomic status, to unlocking their limitless potential. In his freshman year as State Legislator the Representative championed a 6 million dollar bill, SB 1352, towards Sickle Cell medications, treatments, and further research into solutions for those affected by the diseases. Representative Campbell firmly believes in cultivating a purpose-driven mindset, viewing obstacles as opportunities to effect meaningful change.
