Dr. Debra Friedman is an internationally recognized researcher in cancer care delivery, disparities, prevention, control and outcomes and pediatric and adolescent and young adult oncology, with ongoing research funded by the National Institutes of Health and multiple foundations. With the rise in curative therapies for sickle cell disease, Dr. Friedman is using similar methodologies that have been employed in oncology to evaluate the short and long-term health-related sequelae of these therapies.
